Being ignorant of the law doesn’t excuse anyone of the failure to comply with the rules of society.  One kind of law that you can’t take your chances not knowing about is the law on driving under the influence.  Sure, the terms can easily be understood that the law prohibits driving when you’ve been drinking or if you’re under the influence of other drowsiness inducing substances like medication and other drugs.

For the fact that DUI is the leading cause of accidents, injury and death in the country today, every state is doing its part with putting stiffer penalties and punishments for people who violate the DUI law.  These consequences aren’t peanuts.  They can greatly affect the quality of your life.  It can take something from you financially or it can take something from you career wise.  You can’t take chances with DUI law and if you’re suspected of DUI, you have to defend your rights with the help of a great lawyer.

If you think you’re wealthy enough, court fees are the least of your problems.  It’s possible you won’t be able to drive because your vehicle will be impounded or your driver’s license will be revoked.  It doesn’t stop there, you might have to spend your free time doing community service.  Worse, you might lose your job because of a DUI conviction.  Worst yet, you might be facing jail time.  It doesn’t matter if you’re innocent or guilty, what you need is representation and you need professional representation.
